Another year, another iOS release. Apple announced iOS 16 at WWDC in June, previewing lots of features we’ll see this fall. And I’m happy to announce that there will be an iOS Access for All update to go along with it. This journey goes back to 2013, when I began working on the iOS 7 edition of this book. That makes the forthcoming iOS 16 edition my tenth!
We’ve already learned about interesting new accessibility features, like Door Detection, Live Text, custom Sound Recognition and a lot more. Rest assured, the new book will cover it all.
Watch this space for more detail, but my current plan is to offer free upgrades to the new edition to anyone who buys the book after Apple release iOS 16.
Oh, and lastly, I’m changing the book’s name a little bit. Since Apple has discontinued the iPad Touch, I can shorten the title to iOS Access for All: Your Comprehensive Guide to Accessibility for iPhone and iPad.
